Creations and Libations at the Art Base
Presented by AspenOUT and the Art Base
October 25, 2022
Tuesday, 6:00PM – 8:00PM
$20
Scholarships Available. All supplies included
Throughout art history, artists have collaborated with each other to embrace experimentation and experience the joy of making art together. In this class, artist Tania Dibbs guides small groups of participants in making a collaborative painting. This exercise is a great way to learn the fundamentals of abstraction, without the fear of making a “bad painting.” Students in this class leave with new friends, and a new perspective on abstract paintings.
Queer Voices Theater Project
VOICES and TACAW proudly partner to present the original theater production, "A Green Bird On Orange Trees," a Queer VOICES Theater Project created by seven local queer artists. Using movement, live music, spoken word, and the power of myth and imagination, this ensemble weaves together personal stories of queerness and the complexities of knowing, loving, and being oneself in a world of external pressures and expectations. To create this performance, each artist has unraveled hidden fibers of themselves, generously offering up humor, pain, and joy as common threads– an invitation for you to gently pull and be pulled.

The Trevor Project: Ally Training brought to you by Mountain Pride
Mountain Pride is excited to bring the Trevor Project to offer an Ally training designed to create dialogue regarding what it means to be an ally for LGBTQ folks by informing participants about terminology used in the LGBTQ community, the process of “coming out” as an LGBTQ person and a discussion of the challenges faced by LGBTQ folks in their homes, schools, and communities. Through activities, participants are encouraged to explore their own biases, build their knowledge and understanding and develop empathy.

Colorado Animal Rescue’s Dressed to the K9s
Gay For Good Rocky Mountains is once again partnering with our friends at Colorado Animal Rescue (CARE), this time for their annual FUNdraising event!
We will primarily helping with the animal fashion show element! This would involve a commitment from about 10 people to dress in a planned (potentially sponsored by LuLu Thrift Store) outfit and walk out onto stage with a current shelter resident dog OR an alumni dog. The dog will have a small piece of coordinating attire. Music will be playing in the background and an emcee will be telling the story of the dog and the model’s outfit.
